Sandra Bass Palmer
1955 - 2010

Birthed in the heart of Sandra Bass Palmer was the Home of Hope – Texas, a place that will provide help, training and long-term rehabilitation for those victimized by human trafficking.

You may not know that trafficking in persons, especially women and children for the purpose of sexual exploitation is quickly becoming the world’s fastest growing industry and most profitable criminal activity. The U. S. State Department estimates that as many as 18,500 men, women and children are trafficked into the United States each year and 20% of these are found in Texas.

Sandra not only knew that but wasn’t content to just let it happen. Rescuing of these young victims became her passion and thus the birth of Home of Hope – Texas. On April 23, 2010, Sandra died due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Her husband, Rev. Mark Palmer, continues her work at the Home of Hope.
